As of July 15, you may experience some issues with links to CORE Library materials from EBSCO. Because of SSO, all links from Canvas to the CORE Library required an update. We have tried to catch them all, but since humans had to do this work manually, we probably missed some.
If you encounter a broken link, here's what to do.
1. Check the URL. All updated URLs should start with "research.ebsco.com." If the URL you are trying to click on starts with "search.ebsco.com," it's an old URL that will not work.
Examples of What URLs Should Look Like
- https://research.ebsco.com/
linkprocessor/plink?id= 226d7bce-305a-3cdf-acb4- 52b9eb563685 - https://research.ebsco.com/
linkprocessor/plink?id= 4e9ade80-4d50-3e2b-b98c- 388572fc3839
2. Take note of the course and specific page where the broken URL is.
Examples:
- DBH 9907, Week 2 Readings
- DBH 9039, Literature Review Assignment Folder
3. The next step is to fill out a Help Desk ticket.
- On the Open a Ticket page, select CORE Library and EBSCO.
- Complete the ticket. In the Description box, be sure to copy in the broken URL and to state clearly and specifically where the URL can be found.
-
Example: In DBH 9908 on the Week 3 readings, there is a broken link for the article called "Management Issues for Health Professionals." The broken URL is http://search.ebscohost.com/
login.aspx?direct=true&db= nlebk&AN=1083182&site
4. While you wait for the Help Desk, you can locate the item on your own in the library. Simply copy out its title and perform a search in the library.
