Problem
When I log in to Populi, it tells me that I need a passcode. The passcode is supposed to be sent to my phone, but I never receive it.
Solution
Your account has been set with login approval. To use this feature, you must verify your cell phone number with Populi to receive this notification.
Explanation
There are two possible issues working in combination here.
When you logged in to your Populi account for the first time, you may have been asked if you wanted the option of login approval.
Login approval is a security measure that helps protect your Populi user account by requiring an extra login "factor"—in this case, a passcode sent to your mobile phone. Your school may either allow or require you to use login approvals. To use login approvals, you must have a verified text notification number.
What may be going on is that you have set up login approval, but did not verify your text notification number. Not verifying your text notification number means you will not receive the login approval code at your cell phone number.
You can do a couple of things:
1) Turn off login approval (Note: this may require assistance for you to be able to access your account without the login approval. Contact Support for help.)
2) Keep login approval, and verify your text notification number.
